Making Chocolate Cake…
Although I usually like to make cakes from scratch, using a box mix is really great for young kids to do a lot of the steps by themselves. The boxes have picture instructions, which make it perfect for little ones that can’t read yet.
Either way, making a cake is always a fun time! (Be prepared and expect messes ahead of time, and you will be less bothered by it when it happens!) Let your kids do as many steps as possible.
Step 1. Find a recipe and follow each step.
Step 2. Lick the batter! (Warning: raw eggs may cause illness….but don’t you remember fond memories of licking the batter when you were a kid?)
Step 3. Decorate the cake
