Pick strawberries day is a day to enjoy strawberries. If strawberries are in season in your area, this is the perfect day to take your kids to pick strawberries! You could also buy some strawberry plants and plant them in your yard, or in a hanging basket, so you can watch them grow and have them from year to year. Or, you could simply go to the store and buy some for a tasty snack!

The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear by Don & Audrey Wood
Little Mouse worries that the big, hungry bear will take his freshly picked, ripe, red strawberry for himself.
Strawberry Picking
This is such a fun way to enjoy strawberries. Your kids can help you pick a few (they will probably eat most of them!), and you’ll have some to bring home for snacking, putting on ice cream, making jam… You can also freeze them to last longer and frozen strawberries are great to add to a smoothie. Remember to put dark clothing on your kids…chances are they will have red strawberry juice all over them when you’re all done.
